Cinnamon Hakuraa resort is just a stunning 45-minute seaplane or 2½-hour speedboat ride away from Malé. With one of the largest shallow lagoons among resorts in the Maldives there are beautiful backdrops in every direction from the moment you set foot on the island.
There’s two reef passes on the eastern fringe of Meemu Atoll with four breaks within a short distance; three Rights and a Left; .
Formula One / F1 (R) – On the northern tip of Muli island, this fast right needs a bit of swell and a southwest wind to be at its barreling best. Long, hollow, shallow at some points but finishes in deeper water.
Mushrooms (R) – Off the east side of Muli island Mushrooms picks up more swell – a long, peeling right hand point break with an easy exit. The most consistent break in the region and great fun for SUPs and longboards,
Mulah (R) – On the south side of the Mulah channel is another fun wave. A nice right hander for intermediate surfers on a small day, but can handle much bigger swells.
Veyvah (L) – On the north side of the Mulah channel off Vevah island is a really fun lefthander that’s perfect for all surf abilities. An easy take off leading into a long wall that can tube nicely in the right conditions.

Mandara Spa – Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives A calming, transformative wellness experience
Set in a natural open environment in front of the Indian Ocean, the spa serves as the resort’s focal point with five double rooms, a reception area, a relaxation lounge, a retail boutique, and dedicated spaces for manicure and pedicure treatments.
Following a morning or early afternoon arrival flight to Velana International Airport in Male, guests are met on arrival at the Arrivals Hall by a Cinnamon Resorts airport representative and transferred to either a spectacular 45 minute seaplane flight or 2½ hour speed launch ride to Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa resort.
The seaplanes do regular daily flights down to the resort however as they are unable to fit surfboard bags these will be sent down on the speed launch to arrive that afternoon or evening. Similarly on return the seaplane will operate in ample time to meet your international departure flight and the surfboard bags will be transported on the earlier speed launch.
The speed launch does two return trips each day:-
Male to Hakuraa: 11:00am & 5.00pm
Hakuraa to Male: 6.00am & 1.00pm
With surfboard bags being transported by speed launch surfers wanting to bring longboards and SUPs are easily catered for.
Once checked-in at Cinnamon Hakuraa the Atoll Adventures Surf Guide will brief you on the procedures and general times for heading out to the surfbreaks that are approximately a ten minute run in the purpose built Atoll Adventures launch. The surf times are flexible and able to accommodate the prevailing wind, tide, current and swell conditions.
Apart from surfing there are fishing and snorkelling excursions also available so for keen fishers bring along some of your favourite gear.
Packages from five nights include return airport transfers (seaplane and/or speed launch); accommodation; all buffet meals; standard all-inclusive drinks supplement; surf transfers; fishing; snorkelling; Maldives taxes.
