On the remote island of Roti the Nemberala Beach Resort is a comfortable, classy, resort with easy access to excellent waves, fishing, snorkeling and sightseeing. The main surf break is T-Land, a huge left-hander on the reef in front of the resort. It works on all tides and can hold a big swell, giving rides of 200 metres or more
The villas at Nemberala Beach Resort are constructed in local stone with natural timber finishes and traditional Rotinese thatched alang roofs.
Each air-conditioned villa has ceiling fan, mosquito nets, tropical décor and its own shaded porch, garden and private open-air bathroom.
All villas overlook the white sand beach and feature views of the sea and the surf on one side, with the swimming pool and patio on the other side. Villas are duplex units that can be joined to accommodate families or groups of friends.
The open-air restaurant specializes in local seafood and Asian cuisine – a favourite is sashimi from the day’s catch. The beachfront bar is the perfect place to enjoy a cold beer or a cocktail while you watch the waves peeling off the reef and the sunset over the Indian Ocean. The free-form swimming pool is surrounded by a patio paved in natural stone and shaded by palm trees. Sunbake, read, relax. Take a drink from the bar, stroll to the beach, dip in the pool or be pampered at our luxurious spa.
For some extra holiday excitement, try fishing for tuna, trevelly, wahoo, sailfish, mackerel, mahi-mahi and marlin. Our boats are well-equipped for fishing these abundant waters, and our crews can find the best places for you.
Stroll along miles of white sand beaches, walk out over the reef at low tide, or take a boat to explore uninhabited offshore islands and go snorkeling in the warm tropical waters. Discover the local community with a short walk to nearby Nemberala village, with its friendly people, whitewashed church and colourful market.
The resort is on the island of Roti in the Nusa Tenggara region of Indonesia. The usual holiday package includes an overnight stay in Bali, a Lion Air flight from Bali to Kupang in West Timor connecting to a Wings Air flight to Ba’a (on the northwest side of Roti), shuttle bus to Nemberala, and seven nights at the resort. Longer trips can be arranged.
Return travel is Wings Air from Roti to Kupang connecting to a Lion Air flight to Bali then back to Australia or stay on in Bali for a few more days.
Nemberala Beach Resort holidays are sold as a package including domestic airfares; airport transfers; ferry (if required); accommodation; all meals; water/tea/coffee; surf guides and surf transfer boat access to T-Land and breaks within 25 minutes of Nemberala.
Excursions, fishing trips and boat access to more distant breaks can be arranged at the resort at reasonable rates.
